Don't rent
your AI's
memory.

Every AI app keeps its own version of you, and the more it knows, the harder it is to leave. AI OS keeps yours in plain files on your computer. Claude Code and Codex both read them, so whichever you open already knows you and your work.

Own your context.
Rent the models.

Start a new chat and there you are, explaining your business again.

I used to do it twice, because I run Claude Code and Codex side by side. I pasted the same client background into both, re-explained decisions to each of them, and kept notes by hand that were stale by Thursday. I’d become my AI’s clipboard.

So I put all of it in one folder that both tools read before I type a word. At the end of each session, my AI writes down what happened, so nothing needs re-explaining next time. And when either tool gets a better model, I don’t have to migrate anything. The new model reads the same folder and picks up where the old one left off. AI OS is that folder, set up for your business instead of mine, and it’s free.

  • Plain files you own. Open any of them in a text editor and change what you like. If your AI writes something wrong, say “undo that.”
  • Built to ask. The more an app knows about you, the more convincing its guesses get, and a confident wrong answer about your business is worse than “I don’t know.” AI OS keeps what you decided and why, in your own words. When the files don’t say, your AI is meant to tell you so and ask.

Your AI handles the technical part.

Setup is a conversation of about eight questions, and your AI writes the files from what you tell it. It also installs one small helper that AI OS needs to save them safely, and explains why. Give it about half an hour. After that, you keep working the way you do now, and when AI OS gets an update, your files stay as they are.
